Yes everybody thinks of what we are going to eat for the nourishment of body but no one thinks of nourishing the soul
I think you did not cover one area of the topic
we hurt our soul by committing sins and it`s a fact so if we do the opposite that is if we do good deeds we are nourishing our soul
Hazrath Ali (R.A) said eating food is a nourishment to the body
but feeding others is the nourishment of the soul.
And to go inside of the topic bad thoughts and feelings destroy soul
and good thoughts and good energy nourish it.

As salaamu Alaikum, your words have really resonated with me. This is the very reason why I generally don’t find it fulfilling to read books on productivity written by those who are not Muslim. I feel they miss out on the root of productivity, islam and imaan, which means the productivity tips never quite touch my heart or get to the cause of why we are not so productive – and that is because we have not aligned our work completely with our faith, and made our faith the driving force behind our daily activities. If we have taqwa and become God-conscious, then I believe we will be productive automatically. These books and tips are all just secondary factors when really we should be dealing with the primary factor, which is, as you quite rightly mentioned – the development of our soul. May Allah help us to become better Muslims, Ameen.

I am an avid reader of productivity and self help books; have been since high school, but this article resonates more than anything i can remember reading. MASHA ALLAH.
The more I learn about Islam the more I realize how easy Allah has made it for us. We have a complete set of guidelines that covers every imaginable aspect of our lives. No need to travel around the world to “find yourself” or ponder the meaning of life or be anxious about making big decisions. The Quran, Sunnah and prayers fill all those needs, answers all those questions and more!
Thank you for this reminder. May Allah reward you immensely.

sallam alaikom Rukaiyatu,

Jezakom Allah kul khair for pointing out the spelling of our Beloved’s name….i will endeavour to try and bare that in mind in-sha-Allah. May i also point something out about speellings too…in regards to amin…should it be ameen? i am not sure..please someone correct us?

may i also share a message i once recieved, stating that br. dr. Zakir Nakir was advising the Ummah to spell things correctly especially religious words…like instead if ISA / IA it should be spelt fully in-sha-Allah…and instead of jzk, it should be jezak Allah kul khair ..and on and on…etc………I understand no body above or below has done that, but just a reminder to myself and yourselves too, as only Allah knows best, and with out sounding too paranoid, but a form of magic could be involved in such things!

Does any one know if there is any website or what can we call it…erm…anything out there,that can give us a correct way of writing our religious terms..etc.?
