I agree but we’ve to see practically as well, of course in the end its all Will of Allah but I’m beyond any doubt there’re lot more disappointment than success stories additionally each circumstance is different. I moreover know a individual who is attempting his best both spiritually and physically but not able to persuade his spouse on his deen goals and due to it his married life is exceptionally troublesome. So it depends!

I disagree, and I’d like to use an example to hopefully help you see a different side of this misconception. Its a story of a friend: Lets name him Adam. Adam came from a lower class family who couldn’t afford to send him to school. Adam wanted to become a doctor and one day, support his family. However, that same family laughed at Adam- saying he can never make it for two reasons –> 1. They cant afford it 2. He’s not smart….. Adam prayed religiously and kept faith is Allah to help him meet his destination as he studied his hardest to make sure he had first tied his camel. Adam, originally from a country that didn’t have the best resources, is now a certified MD working for one of the country’s most prestigious program across the entire United States. Nevertheless, Adam still supports his family back home. This is just one true story and I’m sure there are many more, and I think we should motivated those who weren’t lucky enough to receive encouragement from loved ones. If a dream is true, and intentions are sincere, then all one needs is prayer and Faith in Allah swt.

It depends on the dream of course if it’s something related to deen it’s a hard one for sure.
I do agree with the author though, if family comes your way in anything it makes it really tough and some times you do have to compromise for bigger good and Allah knows best.

I don’t think he’s saying kiss your dreams goodbye as in voluntarily give them up, rather not having that core structure of support would make those dream untenable.

What if that’s really your passion, should you give it up just because people you love don’t agree with it?
