Assalamualaykum
Please advice- i have always wanted to get closer to Allah and learn deen and good deeds, but my mother does not allow me to attend islamic gatherings in the centre or masjid except sometimes on eid or in ramadhan for iftar with my grandma. She believes i’m being hypocritical or extreme and don’t please her. But i try and recieve abuse too. I have not achieved her expectations such as a degree and good job but i try and i have difficulties which i struggle with. I have been confused as islamically i have to obey her if she does not allow me to go but also need to prepare for my hereafter and be with good company to do that. So what is the way forward? I have just read that parents comes after salah and then after that is striving for Allah, so am i doing right to carry on obeying her and just do what i can by myself to get closer to Allah? The article is truly helpful a lot..
but one thing i would like to shade with all of u is that whenever the name of allaah comes everytime u write or speak allaah dont use him or his for allaah . allaah taala has no gender instead allaah has made gender. Allaah bless all of us.. :-)

Advise her of how short our time is and that we can die at any second and that if we were to die whilst committing a major sin then what a terribly shameful way to die and we will be raised in the same state and it maybe that Allah may not even look at us except throw us in the fire.

Advise her that Allah says in the Qur’an were we not given enough time to change? And that such people will be in the fire. So how can we waste our one life on following our lowly desires in return for eternity of bliss? This is what our enemy shaythan wants is for us to waste our lives indulging in sin until we die in such a state.

Advise her what better time to change our lives forever than in the best days of the year! Therefore advise her to pray 2 Rakat Salaatul Tawbah and be utterly remorseful and make a firm intention to stop the major sins and that we will devote ourselves to the pleasure of Allah and doing that which will benefit us in this life and the next. Advise her to truly open up to Allah and cry unto him and to beg of him for forgiveness and mercy. To ask of him for help and guidance. To walk towards him so he can run towards us. So what are we waiting fo death when it will be too late?

Advise her to change her life forever from this very moment and to never delay until tomorrow as tomorrow may never come!
