Just need two clarifications:
1. How butter is better than vegetable oil?
2. Is rice better than whole wheat flour? If yes, why?
Thanks.

I’m really surprised when I read that “Eating the wrong fat (bad fat) or not eating enough sends your body into fat storage mode.”! No wonder why some people I know don’t seem to lose weight or get fit when they go on diet! Interesting Masha’Allah. So glad to these informations. Thank you for sharing. J.A.K.

I know you said to stay away from cardio.

Brother Hasan ,
Brother Ebrahim is on point.
Just take it easy in Ramadan. Do 30 min cardio after Fajr (A brisk walk ) And do some free hands after iftar. (Squats , push ups , curls rows etc )
Fell free to tweet me @shirmaster for any kind of info .

Assalamu Alaykum! :D

This article (if you read it) is tailor-made to suit for brothers because its mostly about bulking up and muscle building during Ramadan, as we have low intake of food during this month. The food plan mentioned are for protein-concentrated diets that is required to bulk up and for increasing testosterone.

Health is generally for both genders of course, its a general aspect. But any general topic, like health for example can be broken down to address the needs of a specific category, like age or gender, etc.

Its just like how there are multiple articles which are labeled “sisters only” when its just about dressing well/modest, cooking, rights, etc. But those things apply to brothers as well. It doesn’t mean that brothers shouldn’t dress well/modest, or that they can’t learn to cook something, and or that they don’t rights, etc. The only this is that those articles are tailor-made for sisters. And sometimes if I search on a certain recipe to make for myself, I normally end up on an article that is tailor-made for sisters. So if there is a sister looking forward for a muscle-building routine for Ramadan, then by all means I hope this article helps her too.

Wasalamu Alaykum.

Brother Hassan,

I’m by no means a physical instructor, but having done a few cycle races and I’ve realised that consistency is key. You could start with your walk as you mentioned, then everyday keep doing the same route by try reducing the time by about 10% every 10 days (so you would need to start going at a slightly faster pace than the week before). You could also try extending your walking distance by 10% and then play around with the times and distances to see what works for you. The reason why I say 10% is that the increase is not too great but in 30 days you would’ve increased either your time or your distance considerably, you also wont get disappointed as this increase is easily within reach.
I agree with the above article about nutrition being the fuel for your body, and I’m talking only from a sport point of view where you could “run out of steam” because of this.

Jzkl for a interesting article (as always)
