My brother once said that good things are not done out of habit. It can become easy with time but you cannot be certain that it has become your habit. Bad deeds, if however left untreated becomes a habit. For example smoking becomes a habit and even good people are unable to get rid of it. Whereas even if you have been praying for so many years, yet you get lazy and once you miss a prayer, you tend to miss other and then the other.

Anyways hidayat is completely from Allah (SWT) alone and we alone cannot fulfill our duties without His help
