Jazak Allahu kheiran for this! This year (1435) on the 10th day of Ramadan, I had an appointment with my cardiologist (I have a stent in my L.A.D.), who advised me against continuing the fast after he saw my lab results. I resisted the idea and told him I felt pretty good. He said, “That’s why they call it the silent killer.” So I resolved not to fast any more, at least for this Ramadan. But the days since then have seemed so aimless and depressing. You are giving me hope that I can actually have a Ramadan with striving and goal-setting and a sense of achievement at the end of it. I have renewed my commitment, and it is because of finding your article. May Allah multiply your rewards, and I hope to meet you in the Akhirah if not in the Duniah.

Nothing more upsetting than getting a menses in Ramadan. It’s not “vacation” at all, it’s like mother nature banishes me to get out of the game xD. I think dhikr, charity, and learn Islam are the best ways to reap reward without letting any “vacation” days makes you lazy.

(Anyway, I also write this stuff in my blog : 30 deeds you can do when you’re menstruating…. )
