This book is an excellent book and will no doubt benefit many Muslims, as it talks about the behaviour and characteristics of the Prophet (salallahu alaihi wasalam) which we are all in need of.

Since the Prophet (salallahu alaihi wasalam) said: “Ad deenu Naseeha” (The religion is [sincere] advice.” (Muslim).

We advise the brothers and sisters to firstly try their best to learn the arabic language, as it is the key to understanding this religion, this is because some books; which have been translated into English and other languages such as; “Al-Adab Al-Mufrad” contain some weak ahadeeth (sayings of the prophet [peace be upon him]).

However, Sheikh Al-Albaani (rahimahuAllah) has made a revised edition of the book, which seperates the weak narrations from the saheeh/hasan narrations. The book is called: “Saheeh Al Adab Al Mufrad”. (as far as I know, it’s only been printed in the arabic language), it can be purchased here:

Secondly, as for anybody who has purchased the English version which contains the weak narrations, then:
1. This is not a book that a person starts with in regards to seeking knowledge.

Sheikh Uthaymeen (rahimahuAllah) has a book called: “Kitaabul ‘ilm” (The Book of Knowledge). This is one of the first books to start with when seeking knowledge. The Sheikh (rahimahuAllah) mentions at the back of his book, different books that a student of knowledge should begin with and precede with (i.e. intermediate, higher).

2. Refer all the ahadeeth back to their sources (purchase Sheikh Al-Albaani’s book inshaAllah).
