It was a refreshing idea and a brilliant perspective! I never thought about it like that, at least not consciously. It’s almost bitter-sweet, but it helps you keep your emotions in check. Sometimes though, you wish you could just stay in the moment, you know like an Imaan-high for example. But experience teaches you that things don’t last, so it’s good to be prepared!

However, this is all about your mental calm, you can get it in thousand of different ways.
If we just lead the life by equating profit/loss, than that would be frivolous! The core philosphy of relegion based on love of Creator, that whatever, one should do or avoid is just for the love of Allah, even one incur loss!
Although, eventual purpose for human specie is to get mental calm, nevertheless, it couldn’t be achieved directly, even if one does, that would be very short term.
As for as mode of thinking is concerned, this is interesting.
