Qualia NAD+ Placebo-Controlled Clinical Study Preliminary Results

Qualia NAD+ Placebo-Controlled Clinical Study Preliminary Results

Overview

The first cohort of participants in a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of Qualia NAD+ showed a statistically significant increase in NAD+ levels compared to placebo (p=0.001). There was an average increase of 85% in NAD+ after taking Qualia NAD+ once daily for 4 weeks.*

How The Study is Designed

There are two groups in the study: one is taking Qualia NAD+ capsules and the other is taking placebo capsules. Participants were randomly assigned to be in one of the two groups.

The study is double-blinded, which means that neither the researchers conducting the study nor the participants know who will receive Qualia NAD+ or placebo capsules until after the participants have completed the study protocol.

The study has more than one cohort. This means groups of participants are going through the study protocol at different times.

Participants will take either Qualia NAD+ or a placebo daily for 28 days. The instructions are to take two capsules every day anytime in the morning, with or without food.

The primary study endpoint was the change in NAD+ levels, which was determined by comparing initial and final NAD+ levels using at-home finger stick blood kits.

Result

Qualia NAD+ Increased NAD+ Levels by an Average of 85%*

The first cohort, a group of 47 adults, started the study in October. Due to difficulties with the blood tests, and because several people dropped out of the study, before and after NAD+ levels were unavailable for 35 participants. Data analysis is based on the 12 participants who completed the study and finished in November 2023. This group ranged in age from 40 to 64 years old, and were a mix of males and females.

The average increase in whole blood NAD+ levels from baseline in the group of participants taking Qualia NAD+ was 85%. This increase was statistically significant (p=0.001) compared to the placebo group.*
